House Bill No. 6595 or an Act Recognizing the Civil Partnership of Couples

The proposed measure seeks to recognize the civil partnership between two persons of the same or opposite sec to be able to enjoy the rights, protection and privileges afforded in this bill. The Commission on Human Rights, guided by the core international treaties to which the Philippines is a state party and the Yogyakarta Principles as a human rights instrument in apply international legally binding treaties, supports the passage of this bill in its vision to promote and provide for equal rights among partners.
