Pahayag ni Atty. Jacqueline Ann de Guia, CHR spokesperson, ukol sa mga alegasyon ng unlawful arrest at arbitrary detention sa Brgy. Commonwealth, Quezon City

Mariing tinutuligsa ng Commission on Human Rights ang mga alegasyon ng unlawful arrest at arbitrary detention kung saan sangkot di-umano ang iilang mga tanod at tauhan sa Brgy. Commonwealth, Quezon City. Naniniwala ang CHR na ang bawat paglabag ay dapat may karampatang kaparusanahan, pero hindi ito dapat lalabis sa kung anuman ang nakatakda sa batas. Meron ding sinusunod na proseso sa pagsasampa ng kaso at pagkulong. Ginagarantiya rin ng Konstitusyon na ang bawat tao ay kikilalanin na inosente sa harap ng anumang alegasyon hangga’t mapatunayan ang kanilang pagkakasala.

Nagpadala na ng Quick Response Team ang CHR-NCR noong Martes, 19 Marso 2019, sa nasabing barangay hall upang tignan ang mga posibleng pananagutan ng mga opisyal at tauhan nito.
