The CHR strongly supports the enactment of legislation creating the Joint Congressional Commission on Justice System Reform. Establishing this body is a significant opportunity to undertake a whole-of-government and whole-of-society assessment of the justice system and to develop long-term reforms anchored on accountability, efficiency, and respect for human rights.
