Statement of CHR spokesperson, Atty Jacqueline Ann de Guia, on the reported attack on Parang Police Station in Sulu province
Reports have reached the Commission on Human Rights (CHR) on the killing of two policemen and the wounding of two others in Sulu Province, Parang Police Station. Initial reports claim that the unprovoked attack on the police station occurred on Saturday, 13 June 2020, and was perpetrated by two unidentified men. The deceased policemen were identified as Cpl. Mudar Salamat and Pat. Arjun Putalan, both of whom succumbed to the injuries sustained while being brought to a nearby hospital. While two other policemen, MSg. Hamid Saribbon and SMSg.
