Lubos na nababahala ang Commission on Human Rights (CHR) sa pagkawala ng ngayon ay umabot na sa 26 na katao na mula sa Maynila, Laguna, at Bulacan. Karamihan sa kanila ay mga sabungero, ngunit nadagdag na rin sa listahan ang isang babae na apat na buwang buntis. Nag-iimbestiga na ang CHR Region IV-A sa nasabing insidente. Ngunit sa pakikipag-ugnayan namin sa Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Regional Field Unit 4A (CIDG RFU 4A) ng Philippine National Police (PNP) ay tumanggi silang magbigay ng mga dokumento ukol sa kaso. Hindi ito ang unang pagkakataon.

Ayon sa sagot ng CIDG RFU 4A, ang subpoena ng CHR para sa mga case documents ay kailangan pa di-umano ng approval ng headquarters at dadaan pa sa PNP Freedom of Information receiving office. Sa kabila ng hindi pakikipagtulungan ng mga pulis, nakipag-usap na rin CHR sa mga kaanak ng mga nawawalang indibidwal sa pagpunta nila sa CHR Central Office ngayong Martes, 8 February 2022.

Patuloy na hahanap ang CHR ng paraan makatulong hanapin ang katotohan sa mga nasabing pagkawala. Itutuloy namin ang imbestigasyon kahit kapos sa pakikipagtulungan ang pulisya. Ang sapilitang pagkawala o pagkulong sa kaninuman ay paglabag sa karapatan at kalayaan ng isang indibidwal. Hangad rin namin ang pagbalik ng mga nawawala at hustisya para pangyayaring ito.
