The House of Representatives Committee on Human Rights has adopted at the committee-level on Tuesday, 7 August 2018, the joint resolution filed by Rep. Carlos Zarate extending the validity and availability of funds allotted for approved, legitimate claims filed by the victims of various human rights violations under the Marcos martial rule. Umabot sa kaalaman ng Komisyon ang mga alegasyon ng pang-aabuso ng iilang mga tao at grupo sa mga Human Rights Violations Victims (HRVVs) na nakatanggap ng financial reparation mula sa mga na-prosesong claims ng Human Rights Victims’ Claims Board (HRVCB). Statement of the Commission on Human Rights on the End of Operations of the Human Rights Victims’ Claims Board

The operations of the Human Rights Victims’ Claims Board (HRVCB) has ended on May 12, 2018 per R.A. 10368 as amended by R.A. 10766. After judicious deliberation, HRVCB determined 11,103 claimants that are eligible for monetary reparations and an additional 125 cases that were determined motu propio. Distribution of monetary reparation or compensation has been undertaken for these heroes and victims during the regime of former President Ferdinand E. Marcos. They will also be eternally memorialized in the Memorial Commission, which will involve an archive, a museum, and a wall of remembrance.
