The Commission on Human Rights (CHR) commends President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s recent directive to boost aid for street children and homeless individuals or families that need urgent help. This proactive measure demonstrates our commitment to addressing challenging problems such as poverty and improving the lives of Filipinos, particularly those in the marginalised sector. Ngayong araw, 12 Abril 2020, nakikiisa ang Komisyon sa mga Karapatang Pantao sa buong mundo sa paggunita ng Pandaigdigang Araw ng mga Batang Lansangan. Ang araw na ito ay pagkakataon natin na maitampok ang hamong kinakaharap ng mga batang lansangan, lalo na ngayong sumasailam tayo sa isang pambansang krisis pangkalusugan. Lansangan ang nagsisilbing tirahan, palaruan, at lugar para makapaghanap-buhay ang daan-daang libong bata sa iba’t ibang bahagi ng Pilipinas.
