The Commission on Human Rights (CHR) recognizes the preliminary findings of UN Special Rapporteur Irene Khan to improve the current situation on freedom of opinion and expression in the Philippines after her country visit on 30 January to 2 February 2024. During the Commission’s interactions with the Special Rapporteur, matters concerning the Filipinos’ rights to expression, freedom of the press, and human rights standards on related matters were discussed.
