The Commission is alarmed with the worsening cycle of violence in the country. The death of Barangay Councilor Roel Mabano is another count in the rising number of deaths that the Commission continues to decry. We call on the government, especially our police, to step up its measures, which respect and protect human rights, in the interest of public safety. CHR-Region VII is already investigating this case. ■ DOWNLOAD FILE HERE
