Pahayag ng Commission on Human Rights (CHR) – Region I Director, Atty. Harold Kub-Aron, sa paglabag sa karapatan sa buhay ni Judge Mario Anacleto Bañez

The Commission on Human Rights – Region I strongly condemns the dastardly act and senseless killing of Judge Mario Anacleto Bañez and offer our condolences to the bereaved family of this despicable tragedy.

As we call on the law enforcement authorities to conduct a thorough investigation of this yet another exrtra-judicial killing, we urge every possible witness to come out and help in the early resolution of this case so that the perpetrators responsible for this contemptible act will be caught to answer the full force of the law.

The CHR for its part will be conducting a parallel investigation of this extrajudicial killing in this Province as no cause can justify such brutality.
